1. What is Fontself Creator?
Fontself Creator makes it possible to create your own (online) social fonts in just minutes. Immediately after saving your font, you can use it online to send/post messages (say, in your own handwriting) via your favorite email providers and social networks. It’s fun, it’s quick and an effortless way to personalize your online communications.

2. What do I need to create my own font?

To begin creating your font, first the template from Fontself Creator. The template enables you to fill up all the grids with your hand-drawn font. Every single box corresponds to a specific letter of your computer keyboard. So, you just have to draw a “a” in the the “a” grid, and so on. |

Pick your favorite drawing tool to craft your personal font. You may draw a font in your own handwriting, or design a more graphic font comprised of ‘drawn’ letters and smileys. Your actual font will display exactly all textures, colors and details you draw in this template. So, pick the right drawing tool, and be as creative as you’d like! |

Once you fill out the font grid, scan your template and upload it to Fontself Creator. |

Finally, save your newly-created font, so it becomes immediately available for use online. That’s it!. You can now use any of our apps to send and post personalized messages via your favorite mail providers and social networking sites. |

4. Do I need to be a designer to create my font?
Absolutely NOT!
Fontself Creator was developed specifically to be easy and intuitive enough for anyone to use. Of course, if you have more advanced design skills or are interested in creating more complex font with a particular look or style, Creator will allow you to take your creations that much further. Our user interface contains powerful editing tools, which not only allow you to digitize complex illustrations from a template, but also to fine-tune and edit your font once it’s been created.
5. How long does it take to create a font?
It depends on the complexity of your font, mainly because it’ll take longer for you to draw it.
If you just want to create a font to use your own handwriting online, you will be able to draw/fill out the template, and go through the Fontself Creator creation process in about 10-15 minutes.
If you are willing to create a more elaborate font, full of hand-drawn smileys and pictograms, the drawing phase can take much longer. The part of the process related to scanning in, creating, tweaking and saving your font takes roughly the same time regardless of the complexity of your font — whether it’s a basic handwriting or it contains complex shapes, colors and textures.
